SYNOPSIS:

ONCE UPON A MATTRESS is an off-beat re-telling of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea.” The production focuses on a royal family whose matriarch, Queen Aggravain (Senior Vania Figueroa) , has ruled that no one in the kingdom may marry before her son , Prince Dauntless the Drab (Junior, Kenny Baker) is suitably to a suitable Princess. The Queen keeps the kingdom single by foiling every marital candidate the prince entertains….That is, until Princess Winnifred (Junior, Erin Hamilton) swims the moat and conquers the heart of the people and of Prince Dauntless. Along the way, we meet young romantics, Sir Harry (Junior, Lucas Hanneken) and Lady Larken (Junior Annie Hamilton) …the mute King…the deviling Court Wizard (Ben Elhart) and a few other royal characters!

The show features all time favorite musical numbers such as “Yesterday I Loved You” , “Opening for a Princess”, "The Spanish Panic", “Happily Ever After” and “Sensitivity.”
